The biggest challenge I have faced in recruiting graduates every year is probably ensuring that not only do we recruit the best graduates, but that we also recruit the right graduates, who are passionate about wanting to work in the sector. It is important that we get the balance right.

Doing the HR Scheme gave me a great foundation for a career in graduate recruitment and development, and the role of Leadership Development Manager enabled me to build on the skills, experience and networks I had gained as a trainee. Finding the best people is a challenge but it is worth it when you see the quality of managers on the Scheme, and the influence they are able to have in the years ahead.
