what is the difference between EY Corporate Finance Transaction service and investment banking?
Additional information
how does EY corporate finance transaction service differentiate itself from typical corporate finance in investment banks? or they actually function in the same way? Thank you so much!

Hi,
While the two types of companies may work on the same transaction, they tend to fulfill different roles. For the largest corporate transactions, an investment bank will act as lead advisor and e.g. underwrite the deal. The EY Transactions team will focus on e.g. transaction diligence, integration plans, reporting accounting.
For smaller, mid market transactions, EY has the capacity to also work as a lead advisor.
