Hello, would you say what Transactions does is closer to consulting or accounting/auditing? What's it really like?

Hi, Transactions has multiple different teams, but I would say generally that it is more aligned with consulting than audit. The Transaction Diligence team involves the most accounting knowledge but even they are acting as a consultant on the transaction.
My last project was in the strategy consulting team (CFS) - so definitely more consulting! We were working with a PE fund who asked us to look in to a company they were considering investing in. We reviewed the size of the market, their competitors and relative positioning and the business plan of the target.
