What does your role involve? What are the working hours like?

Thank you for your question. In short, my role involves assisting banking, insurance and capital markets clients with their tax needs. For the most part this involves me performing tax audits, which is a legal requirement for most of clients, and consists of us determining if the clients tax accounts show a true and fair value of taxation. On the other side of the coin, we help companies with their compliance needs, which requires us to ensure our clients meet the deadlines put in place by tax authorities such as HMRC and ensure they pay the right tax at the right time. But truthfully speaking, this is a short answer for what we actually do. In reality, everyday is different and I work on a wide variety of projects.

As for your questions on hours, the weekly contracted hours for a full time employee is between 35 and 37.5 hours a week.
