I have no experience in Tax but I am applying for the mobility and reward graduate scheme. Any advice?
Additional information
I have a background in Psychology (BSc hons) and will graduate with an MSc in Clinical Neuroscience in September. I have a passion to learn and understand new areas.

Assistant Tax Advisor
Hi Annefloor,
I guess the first thing I would say is do not worry! Not having tax experience isn't the end of the world. In fact when I first joined the only thing I knew was the tax rate (from the year before I joined, unbeknownst to me it had changed). My advice would be to be yourself throughout the application and interview processes and if you get to a partner interview (fingers crossed for you) then be sure to emphasise the strengths and transferable skills that you can draw from your BSc in Psychology and from your Masters. After all, this degree choice can be something that will set you apart from your peers by teaching you a different skill set than a degree in finance or another more traditional accountant's degree. My other advice would be to make sure you demonstrate your keenness to learn, when it comes to graduate roles, nobody expects a finished article, but if you can show you're someone who could be taught and eventually become the finished article then that's definitely a box ticked.
Hopefully that helps, if not feel free to reply.
And best of luck,
G.
