Hi Rebecca. I hope you're well. Are you looking for a training contract in law?
We do have a law department, but we're not recruiting trainees into the firm this year. If this was to change we would put an update onto the careers site.

Apologies for delay I have just been figuring this thing out... Well I can qualify anyway through Equivalent Means so a Training Contract isn't essential to me. So what are the graduate roles in the law department called?

We find that our tax department is a good fit for candidates with a law background. However, we have a tool on our website that matches your strengths to our roles. Here it is:

Ooh that's fantastic! That's really helpful, thanks!
So with tax and law what are the graduate positions for those roles and when does the application window open?

The law applications are currently closed as we are not currently taking on trainees this year. We have a number of tax positions available in Direct, Indirect, and private tax.
Here is the link to where you can find these roles:

I just took a look at those links. Could you just tell me what application process involves? Online form? motivational questions? psychometric tests? sit? video or phone interview? Assessment day? Interviews?

How ironic! the first link you sent me says I am a problem solver who would be best suited for tax - which is exactly what you said anyway :)

Haha... I just knew Tax would be the one!
We ask all candidates to make an online application, you'll then start the process with online testing with are strength based. You'll then move on the situation tests with are designed around the various service lines. This section of the process also involved video responses.
If you are successful at these stages you'll move onto our EY Experience Day. This is like no other assessment centre you'll have been too. Very interactive and a chance for you to learn about the firm

Wow it's a pretty sophisticated recruitment process by the sounds of it... Yes, apologies, I just managed to click on the drop downs... So this process is actually open now right? Do you recruit on a rolling basis? And when is the deadline? Also as a law student I only have maths GCSE... I guess EY is big on maths right?

I would recommend submitting an application ASAP. We have been open since September 2018, so we have already received a large amount of applications. If it's still open on the website, then we have roles in that area. We don't have set qualification requirements for most of our roles. Some areas look for Maths and STEM subjects, but most roles are open to anyone with an honours degree.

So the application window opens in September? Do you recruit on a rolling basis?

We recruit until the roles are filled or we have enough candidates in the pipeline for that role.

So you don't wait until a deadline and then review apps?
