Additional information

For the context. I don't live in the UK. But as an international graduate student with one year previous experience as an audit trainee, will I be able to join EY UK?

Hi Sameera,

You definitely can join as an international graduate.

We welcome applications from non-European nationals. However there are some restrictions that you will need to be aware of when making an application to us.

In order to start employment on one of our graduate programmes, you must have the necessary permission to work in the UK.

Depending on the start date, applicants requiring permission to work in the UK will need to have completed their application form to us by the following dates:

Start Date and Application cut-off date

January 2018 - 18 September 2017
April 2018 - 30 November 2017
August 2018 - 31 March 2018
September 2018 -31 March 2018

These deadlines are in place to allow us sufficient time for you to successfully complete the recruitment process and for us to subsequently apply for your visa.

Please visit our website for further information regarding visas.

I need your kind assistant regarding this."you must have the necessary permission to work in the UK". That means do I need a work permit to have this opportunity?

That's correct and you would need to apply for Tier 2 sponsorship...

As a general rule, applications for Tier 2 sponsorship require EY to demonstrate that there are no workers who meet the requirements for the role in the UK resident labour market. We therefore expect all roles will be filled by suitable workers (i) from the UK resident labour market and (ii) those who hold a Tier 4 (General) visa, are currently studying for a degree in the UK and are able to apply from a Tier 2 visa from within the UK once they have completed their studies.

All offered candidates who are applying from a Tier 4 to Tier 2 switch must remain in the UK between completion of your studies and your start date to ensure an in-country application is viable. We will not progress any applications from Tier 4 (General) visa holders who will need to make their Tier 2 visa applications from outside of the UK.

Please note that we will not be able to offer Tier 2 sponsorship for a number of roles as the salary will not meet the current Home Office Code of Practice salary benchmark.

If you require Tier 2 sponsorship, please make applications to the below service lines and locations only:

Any Graduate role in Consulting, Financial Services Consulting or Transactions (other than Belfast)
Tax, Assurance and People Advisory Services positions in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Luton, London, Reading and Southampton
In light of the salary benchmark set by the UK government, any applications to roles other than the above are unlikely to succeed as you will not satisfy the threshold to obtain a work visa.

The Home Office regularly change the immigration rules and should this occur in a way that affects the viability of your application for a graduate position before your start date, EY reserves the right to amend its approach to processing applications.

If you are unsure about your eligibility to work in the UK, please visit gov.uk for more information.

I'm already an employee of EY in PAS Brazil, I also did my master degree here. I don`t have a work permission, and I need to get an opportunity, and that the company help me as a sponsor of my visa. How it works? Is there any way for this to happen?

Hi,
The form requires that I have a visa right now before I can apply. Isn't it possible that I apply for visa right after let's say I get an offer? Or am I not really allowed because I have to be in the UK right now?

Hi Christian. You need to make an application for your visa in country. Your visa needs to be valid until at least the start date for the programme. I'd recommend you reading more about working visas from the UK Border Agency website and our FAQs: https://ukcareers.ey.com/students/how-to-apply/faqs.
